BIRTHDAY PARTIES AT METROPOLITAN DANCE

Celebrate with music, movement, and friends! Our birthday parties feature activities tailored to your child’s age and interests, led by an activity leader, party coordinator, and assistant.

BIRTHDAY PARTY PACKAGE — $475

For up to 12 participating children, including the birthday child. Additional children are $15 each, with a maximum of 16 participants. 

Your booking includes:

• Two hours of party time.

• Supervised dance classes/ activities within the party. Crafts / Art activities are available 

• Time for cake, ice cream, and celebrating.

• An activity leader, coordinator, and assistant.

• Tables and chairs.

• 30 minutes before the party for host setup.

• 15 minutes after the party for cleanup and departure

CHOOSE YOUR PARTY

Dance Party
Ballet, hip-hop, jazz, musical theatre, or princess/ballerina fun with music, dance games, creative movement, and simple choreography.

Tumbling Party
A fun floor-gymnastics experience with age-appropriate tumbling, obstacle courses, and games.

Glow Party Upgrade — Additional Charge
Add glow-inspired lighting and activities to your celebration! Pricing is quoted individually based on your family’s requested setup and activities. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. How do I book?
Email mdtno@hotmail.com with your child’s age, preferred date, party choice, and estimated number of children and accompanying adults. Parties are subject to studio and staff availability.

2. What payment is required?
A $200 NON REFUNDABLE Reservation deposit secures your date and is applied toward the $475 party package. A valid card must remain on file.

The remaining $275, plus approved advance additions, will be charged seven days before the party. The booked party must be paid in full before it takes place.

Approved additional charges incurred during the party will be charged to the card on file at the end of the party.

3. How many children may attend?
The package includes 12 participating children, including the birthday child. Up to 4  additional children may attend for $15 each.

The final guest list is due seven days before the party.

Only children registered to participate in the party may attend. We cannot accommodate nonparticipating siblings, as there are no separate activities or supervision available for them.

Any participants attending must be included in the approved participant count and have registration and required agreements completed before arrival. Please share this policy with guests when sending invitations.

4. Do guests need to register and sign agreements?
Yes. Each participating child’s parent or legal guardian must complete the party registration in Jackrabbit and all required participation agreements before arrival. This applies to the birthday child, currently enrolled students, and participating siblings.

We provide registration instructions for the host to share with guests. The host is responsible for reminding families to complete them.

Children without completed registration and required agreements cannot participate. Unregistered siblings and walk-in participants cannot be accommodated.

5. May parents and other adults stay?
Necessary parent/guardian supervision is welcome, but adult waiting space is limited. The number of accompanying adults must be arranged when booking.

Parties are designed for participating children and cannot accommodate large groups of spectators, extended-family gatherings, or large event-style setups.

6. When may we set up and when must we leave?
The booking family may access the studio 30 minutes before the scheduled party start for simple setup. Please keep decorations and supplies manageable for our second-floor location.

The party lasts two hours. All cleanup, removal of belongings, and departure must be completed within 15 minutes after the party ends.

Remaining more than 15 minutes past the party’s end time results in a $100 rental-extension fee, charged to the card on file. This fee does not guarantee additional activity time.

Additional access time must be requested and approved in advance and will cost extra.

7. What refreshments may we bring?
Refreshments are limited to:

• Birthday cake or cupcakes.

• Individual ice cream cups.

• Juice boxes and individual water bottles.

No other food is permitted. MDT does not provide food, catering, beverage service, or tableware. Please bring your own plates, napkins, utensils, and serving supplies.

Food and drinks must remain in the designated refreshment area and are not permitted on the dance floor. Water fountains are available on site.

 

8. Is freezer storage available?
Yes! Freezer storage for individual ice cream cups must be arranged in advance.

9. What items are not permitted?

• Alcohol.

• Food other than cake/cupcakes and individual ice cream cups.

• Confetti, loose glitter, silly string, bubbles, or slime.

• Glass or other breakable serving dishes.

• Crockpots, warming trays, chafing dishes, or other heating devices.

• Light-up balloons.

• Ice chests, coolers, or large drink dispensers.

• Buffet setups or extensive snack tables.

 

10. Who handles cleanup?
MDT staff resets the activity space and equipment. The booking family is responsible for cleaning the refreshment area and removing all decorations, personal items, remaining refreshments, and party trash from the premises within the 15-minute cleanup window.

Our studio is a second-floor walk-up with no elevator. Birthday parties are offered at Metairie Road only, after 11 AM and subject to availability.
