PLEASE NOTE: Additional accessories may be included with your order. Your costume order will include costume, tights, and any necessary accessories required for recital dance, unless specified otherwise. Additional information can be found on the online costume ordering website or by asking a member of our office staff. 

All costume orders are non-refundable, non-transferable and no credits can be given on costumes. 

All costume orders are final sale.

We realize this is a short notice - typically, we start accepting costume deposits in November and we order costume over the holiday break. This year, we just received confirmation of our showcase dates in our new venue at the beautiful Jefferson Performing Arts Center on Airline.

In order for us to receive the costumes in time for photos, or to make any necessary alterations or exchanges, the timeline below is what we need to follow.

Fees:

Orders will be assessed service fees in accordance with the following schedule:

Orders placed before January 3, 2021 at 11:59PM EST                            No Service Fee

Orders placed before January 10, 2021 at 11:59PM EST                          $2.00 per item 

Orders placed before January 31, 2021 at 11:59PM EST                          $10.00 per item 

Orders placed beginning February 1, 2021                                                $25.00 per item

No costume orders will be accepted after February 2, 2021. 

Late Orders:

Orders must be placed by  January 10, 2020. Orders placed after this date are not guaranteed to arrive by showtime. 

Refund/exchange policies:

All costumes are NON-REFUNDABLE. Costumes may be exchanged for the same product in a different size if available. A fee of $25 plus shipping and handling applies for all costume size exchanges. Please select your sizes carefully to avoid size exchanges. Size exchanges are treated like new orders and may take up to 16 weeks to fulfill. 

Sizing your costumes, dance attire and shoes :

WARNING: It is your sole responsibility to estimate the correct size item to purchase. Metropolitan Dance is not responsible for the sizes you select. Pay particular attention to your costume’s size chart. Check every costume’s size chart, as different manufacturers have different sizes and size charts.

 

Girth is the most important measurement in selecting a costume size.

Please contact our office if you have any questions. And remember, children will continue to grow.

(Pro tip: Miss Jaune usually adds two inches to the girth to accommodate for children that are still growing. But, remember you know your child best)

Receiving your costume and dance attire –

Costumes will be tried on in class when they arrive. After you try on your costume in class, we will finalize the processing and packaging process for your costume, to ensure it is packed carefully and includes instructions from the teacher. You will be able to pick up your costume from our office once they are packaged and ready for pickup. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PICK UP YOUR COSTUME UNTIL YOUR ACCOUNT IS PAID IN FULL. 

Recital Fee

There is a separate recital fee for each family. 

The recital fee is:

$135 per family of one dancer

$145 per family of two siblings

$155 per family of three or more siblings

if paid by February 27th

After 2/27, it is $155, $165 and $185 respectively.

Recital Fee is non-refundable.
